Here is the long overdue Marrakech post, part 2! While spending time in Marrakech you must visit the famous square at the heart of the Medina, Jemaa al Fna. Crowds throng to the square, whether it be day or night. At day, tourists and locals explore the square alike, soaking up the atmosphere and watching the world go by while sipping on mint tea. At night, you can experience traditional Moroccan street performers while enjoying the delicious street food on offer and hearing the buzz of the crowd. This thriving square is also home to the world famous Souks where one can indulge in a spot of shopping and purchase beautiful Moroccan jewellery, intricate woodwork and intoxicating spices. This is an experience not be missed.
The square just before night fall, captured by my friend, Abi.
Taken from the roof terrace of a restaurant looking out on to the square.

Essaouira
The two days spent in Essaouira where just what the doctor ordered from the hustle and bustle of Marrakesh. Succulent seafood, relaxing strolls along the beach, heady hammams and a desert trek across the beach. Blissful!
Hope you enjoyed the post!
